To protect the heating element from excessive wear, the kiln is designed not to remain continuously at the selected temperature. Once the required temperature is reached, the kiln will automatically cool (200-300C) before reheating to the pre-set temperature. This cycle repeats automatically, allowing you to perform multiple castings without having to reheat the kiln from room temperature each time.

**Three Pouring Methods**

This kiln allows molten metal to be poured using any of the following methods:

1. **Traditional Method**
Once the required temperature has been reached, remove the crucible from the kiln using suitable tongs and pour the metal into a pre-heated mould.

2. **Tilting Method**
Leave the crucible inside the kiln and just tilt the kiln using the front handle to pour the molten metal directly into the mould.

3. **Safe-Cast™ Upside-Down Method**
Attach the mould to the top of the kiln for pre-heating, helping to minimise thermal shock and mould cracking. When ready, invert the kiln to transfer the molten metal directly into the heated mould. This method provides maximum safety, efficiency, and casting consistency.
